Dear reader, we intend to enable you meet most of our stakeholders in the Teaching Assistantships Project. And so, here we go:
Today, we are pleased to introduce you to Jeannette Kaberinka. She hails from Bugesera district, East of Rwanda. Jeannette completed her secondary school last year. In her advanced secondary education examinations, she excelled with 64 out of 73 aggregates. It is girls like Jeannette whom Mastercard Foundation has supported through the Scholars programme. Furthermore, Jeannette is part of the Mastercard Foundation funded Teaching Assistantships Project being implemented by Inspire, Educate and Empower Rwanda (IEE), in which bright young girls with an interest in education like Jeannette are, recruited, deployed to schools to work as Teaching Assistants for mathematics and science. Jeannette is a Teaching Assistant at Nyamata Catholic School located in Nyamata town, Bugesera district.
Jeannette is happy to be part of this project.
I feel lucky to be part of the Teaching Assistantships Project. The trainings I have received so far, have equipped me with love and passion for education and my attitude towards teaching profession has changed. Jeanette says.
Jeannette aspires to do entrepreneurship studies in her tertiary education and hopes that her new interest in education could enable her to contribute to educating other people as well, in her career. During her free time, Jeannette enjoys listening to Christian music.
