PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The emergence of the Corona Virus pandemic (Covid-19) took the world by surprise, disrupting all aspects of life.
Rwanda has been no exception to the Covid-19 pandemic whereby to prevent transmission, the Government of Rwanda enforced social distancing policies including closing schools, until September.
As part of their Recovery and Resilience Program, Mastercard Foundation is complementing efforts of the Government of Rwanda, through the Ministry of Education/ Rwanda Education Board, by supporting continued learning, particularly for secondary school and majorly the sciences.
Mastercard Foundation is supporting e-learning as one of the major strategies of the Recovery and Resilience Program, to assist young people whose education was disrupted by the pandemic.
In partnership with Mastercard Foundation, Inspire, Educate and Empower Rwanda is technically collaborating with Rwanda Education Board, subject specialists, and Rwanda Broadcasting Agency, in digital delivery of continued learning through Television and radio lessons.
With these partnerships, Rwandan learning will withstand the impact of Covid-19.
